SCLA’s Participation in the Miles for Migraine 5K

Last Saturday, our team at SCLA had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Miles for Migraine 5K—an event dedicated to supporting individuals affected by migraines and raising awareness. It was also a meaningful opportunity to educate the community about clinical research and help break common misconceptions, including the idea of being treated as “guinea pigs” in clinical trials.
As part of our mission, we were proud to be present not only to support the community, but also to share the important role clinical research plays in advancing treatment options and improving patients’ lives. We were able to educate attendees about our ongoing migraine studies in collaboration with Pfizer, while continuing to break the stigmas that often surround clinical trials.
But beyond the purpose behind the event, this experience meant so much more to our team.
A lot of work went into making this event possible. From planning and organizing to designing our own custom shirts, every detail mattered. Our team worked closely together to bring ideas to life.
This was a true reflection of what SCLA stands for. We are more than coworkers—we are a team that supports one another, pushes each other forward, and works together to build something meaningful. The level of collaboration and dedication that went into preparing for this event is something we are truly proud of.
We had the opportunity to connect with the community, share our mission, and spend time together outside of the office in a completely different setting.
Moments like these not only strengthen our connection with the communities we serve, but also bring us closer as a team. It was a chance to bond, support a great cause, and enjoy time together doing something that truly matters.
We are incredibly grateful to Miles for Migraine and Pfizer for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful event.
Experiences like this remind us why we do what we do—and motivate us to continue growing, learning, and making an impact.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to many more opportunities to connect, support, and serve our community.
